Ways to Keep the Environment Healthy

Reduce, reuse and recycle
Cut down on what you throw away. Use reusable bags for your groceries or any other shopping activities. Use reusable water bottles or coffee mugs. Bring your own containers for leftovers. Shop in bulk.

Conserve
Use less water, turn off lights when you leave a room, use energy efficient light bulbs.

Nurture nature
Plant a tree or organic vegetables. Dispose of waste properly. Don’t dump chemicals in waterways. Keep a lid on your trash can when it is outside your home. Lessen greenhouse gases by taking short trips on foot or by bike. Compost at home.

Volunteer, educate
Participate in cleanups in your community. Learn more about how you can protect the environment and share the knowledge with others.
